This year we celebrated Republic Day with great pomp in our school, although every year we celebrate Republic Day with great enthusiasm. We all students attended in our uniform at 7 am on Republic Day.
First of all we gathered in the hall of the school, and then when the school bell rang, we were asked to go to the school grounds to hoist the flag. Then our Principal hoisted the flag, and then we all sang the National Anthem of our country.
After hoisting the flag, the Vice Principal of our school got the message, we asked all the children to work for the progress of the country.
We were told that the Constitution of our country was implemented on 26 January 1950. It is called Republic Day of India. And from then on 26th January of every year was celebrated as Republic Day every year with great pomp.
